Is this how a father acts?

Clay Saunders is not the biological father of Cheri’s son. Furthermore, he’s never acted like the father.

He didn't participate in the IVF procedure that she used to become pregnant.

He didn't attend any prenatal checkups.

He was not present at the birth.

He is not on the birth certificate.

He wasn’t part of the birth announcement.

He has not supported any religious activities, like her son’s baptism.

He has provided no financial support.

He never changed a single diaper.

He never gave Cheri’s son a bottle or any nourishment.

He never helped potty train him.

He’s never put him to bed.

He’s never read a bedtime story to him.

He filed legal papers to declare that he is not the father.

Is that how a father should act?

Then, 37 months later, Clay Saunders changed his mind and sued to gain parental rights over Cheri’s son.

Now, a Travis County judge will decide if Clay Saunders should be granted legal status as the father of her 4-year-old boy, which he did not father.
